Visa Foundation Impact Report Microsite

Senior design Director | urban emu

Overview

In 2024, Visa had plans to launch its first inaugural impact report. I was tasked with designing the microsite for the impact report, with one of our partners creating the print version. The project was a true partnership between client, our agency partner, and organizations featured in the report. After receiving a linear, basic wireframe simply depicting the order of content, I acquired Visa’s Figma Toolkit to determine which components would most effectively convey the information for each section. I also worked with Visa’s development team to create the report and provide their required production documentation. Overall, I maintained the feel of Visa’s parent site, while creating a unique, interactive experience that showcased Visa’s valuable partner organizations and uplifting impact.

My Role: As the Senior Design Director on this small, but important microsite initiative, I was the both the designer and primary client and partner liaison.

Deliverables: microsite design, UX/UI, branding

WEBSITE MODALS

I also created several, simple popup modals of Partner Spotlight’s that were clickable in the primary microsite from the ‘Skills and education’ and ‘Affordable capital’ sections.

The website also included custom graphics for both the infographic and carousel area. I collaborated with the Visa team on receiving icons and illustration scenes in their custom style to build the full treatments.

The Result

The microsite successfully launched in 2024 with incredible engagement on social sharing platforms amongst the client and partners alike. There are plans to continue yearly impact reports after the accomplishments of this inaugural version.
