Association for Diagnostics & Laboratory Medicine (ADLM)
ADLM (formerly The American Association of Clinical Chemistry, AACC), is a global scientific professional organization dedicated to clinical laboratory science. The client was looking for a full rebrand, including for their name. Their original logo was red and text-based, and the client still wanted to maintain their primary color and a prominent acronym. We were tasked with developing a new identity to portray collaboration, innovation, and expertise. Ultimately, my chosen logo included a strong text formation with the inclusion of a custom, scientific node to portray science, growth, and partnership. The rebrand was released during the 2023 AACC Annual Scientific Meeting & Clinical Lab Expo with outstanding reception. Below is an example of the acronym logo lockup, brand guidelines, and a real-life example of a structural display.
The American Institution of Immunologists (AAI)
AAI is a global organization of scientists who are experts in immunology, with the most read journal in the field. The client was looking to redesign their outdated logo to appeal to a scientific audience of innovators in the field. After reviewing the results of branding workshops and council leader interviews, the logo options I created had a transformational feel. Ultimately, my selected logo evoked the letters ‘AAI’ as formed by a slash symbol common in science cropped from the letter ‘A’ with a connected antibody. The use of a gradient often found in scientific charts and bright colors symbolized forward-thinking innovation. Below is the primary logo and select brand identity page samples.
CAF America 30th Anniversary
CAF America (Charities Aid Foundation) is a global grantmaking organization that helps donors make strategic, philanthropic decisions. For their 30th anniversary, the client requested a logo lockup that would be used for multiple marketing initiatives, including branding for their anniversary event at the Morgan Library & Museum in Manhattan. I was tasked with creating a simple lockup portraying 30 years that would depict CAF as an organization with a global impact. Ultimately, the final logo had a modern essance with the usage of a globe within the number ‘30’ that took on a stamp-like feel. Below is an example of the lockup, along with a few displays I created for the event. The first is a clip of a longer video, while the right shows two side stage speaker displays.
